Before making decisions that will change the course of a client's life, clients are encouraged to take stock of their situation--and to work with Ms. Smith to develop not only a legal strategy but a life plan, based on a multitude of factors, such as a client's age and health, a spouse/partner's age and health, current and expected future financial resources, retirement, and the impact of decisions on children, parents, and other family members. Ms. Smith's matrimonial practice is confined to Westchester County, New York, and Fairfield County, Connecticut.
Ms. Smith's commercial practice is primarily focused on alternative dispute resolution, and small commercial litigation cases. She resolves disputes in her capacity as national claims and settlement counsel for a large retail company, and serves as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, on its National Roster of Commercial Arbitrators.
